1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. We use them to keep the site working, to see which pages people actually read, and to measure whether our advertising is doing anything useful.
2. The categories we use
Essential.
Required for the site to work: signing in, keeping your session, and remembering that you dismissed this notice. These cannot be turned off.
Analytics.
Google Analytics 4, measurement ID G-BTDWR6G39F. It tells us which pages people read and where they leave. Cookies are typically named _ga and _ga_*.
Advertising.
The Meta Pixel, loaded through Google Tag Manager container GTM-PFT7V2MJ. It measures whether our ads work and lets us show BUILD ads to people who visited the site. Cookies are typically named _fbp and _fbc.
Functional.
Remembering your choices, such as whether you have already seen a particular prompt.
3. What we store ourselves
The site keeps a small number of first-party values in your browser, in cookies and in browser storage. They use the prefixes btdt_ and build_. We use them for attribution, so we know which campaign or page brought you here, and to avoid showing you the same prompt over and over.
Those attribution values can include advertising click identifiers passed to us in the URL by Google, Meta, and TikTok, such as gclid, fbclid, and ttclid, along with the utm_ parameters on the link you followed.
4. How to control cookies
Use the Cookie preferences control in the footer of every page to reopen this choice and change it at any time.
Your browser settings also let you block or delete cookies. If you block them, some parts of the site may not work as intended.
To opt out of Google Analytics everywhere, install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.
5. Consent outside and inside Europe
Visitors in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland have analytics and advertising storage switched off until they accept. Everywhere else those categories are on by default and can be switched off at any time using Cookie preferences.
